In the production of wear-resistant plates through welding, the welding plate platform is very important. Nowadays, advanced welding platforms are all fully automatic multi head platforms, which have higher welding efficiency than single head platforms. The wear-resistant plate welding layer of the overlay is not easy to fall off, and the flat plate bending is large. Moreover, the new welding plate platform has a high level of automation, which can control the start stop and height of each welding gun, and can achieve breakpoint continuation welding function. There are several specifications of welding wire according to thickness, including 1.2mm, 1.6mm, 2.4mm, 2.8mm, and 3.2mm. Different specifications of welding wire have different hardness, and high-quality welding wire should have a hardness of HRC55 or higher, the higher the better. The content of carbon and chromium determines the hardness of the welding wire. The carbon content of the basic welding wire is around 3.0-5.0, and the chromium content is between 15-40. After welding with high-quality welding wire, the welding layer on its surface should have good impact resistance and be less prone to detachment. Welding wire can be further subdivided according to different industries. For example, some manufacturers can classify welding wire into cement vertical grinding welding wire, roller welding wire, extrusion roller welding wire, star wheel repair welding wire, and other specific categories based on the use of different machinery. Gas shielded welding wire can also be divided into impact resistant welding wire, high-temperature resistant welding wire, gas shielded repair welding wire, and welding wire containing various special elements.

The overlay welding composite wear-resistant plate is made of ordinary steel plate as the substrate, and a layer of chromium carbide is deposited on its surface to give the steel plate higher strength. Therefore, the quality of the overlay welding wear-resistant plate is mainly determined by the welding wire and the overlay welding process. There are many detailed classifications for wear-resistant welding wires. Firstly, it can be divided into single-layer welding wire, double-layer welding wire, and multi-layer welding wire. From the category of use, it can be further divided into various repair welding wires and gas shielded welding wires. High quality welding wire has smooth wire feeding, stable arc, and uniform diameter. The welding wire has less splashing, less smoke and dust, and the deposition efficiency should be high. High quality welding wire is basically a whole piece of welding wire per pack, without seams. Welding wire that combines the above characteristics is of high quality.
